Doesnt work. The outline around the screen on my iPad changes colour with regard to the TV, and it provokes some slight change in the shade of the lights, but nothing matches. After 2 full minutes of nothing but green football pitch on the TV, the lights are still yellowish. Complete waste of money. I tried with last model iPad Pro running latest iOS and an old model iPad 2 running iOS 7 -same thing on both. Useless.
It works but im not really happy for the price. this app should be $1 or free.. It should been great if they have access to the photos too..
should be able to access camera roll photos
Wont connect to network and nothing in options to make it connect.uses only front camera which doesnt work for iPad with a case as it only tilts Down
Simple, very effective right-out-of-the-box! Got Hue lights? Get this app!!
Great experience I wish I didnt have to buy the app to do it (come on Phillips) but glad its available and it works.
Its divided into left, right, up or down, and requests to change the color.
Do not buy. Not working correctly.
This app is useless unless you hold your phone directly inform of the screen
I dont get the animosity people are having. This is supposed to do one thing, and I think it does a great job. Without more than 30 seconds of setup and tweaking, it was making my lights match the screen hue quickly and accurately. It has one job, and it does it well.
I just deleted the app and reinstalled it and it works great now. I think this works well with my new Hue bridge and use it a lot when Im gaming. No complaints, Id just like to see more bells and whistles.
I didnt think it was going to work this well but it does! The only request I have is an option to boost the brightness. I was playing Evolve and the lights were a bit dim. It could be the game is a bit dark though but it would be nice to have a slider or option to increase brightness / saturation.
Wish there was a dimming tool. Other than that, amazing!
I didnt think this would work but its great. Each of the first two reviews asked for a manual brightness option, one wanting to increase the brightness, the other to decrease it. I came to write this review specifically to ask for this option, wanting to dim the lights manually. However, I could have been coming here wanting to brighten the lights, if Id been watching something different during the hours that I used the app.
Very good app. I’d request an update that allows you to chose the front facing camera. When I dock my phone, that is the camera that would face the TV. Otherwise, it’s a really good app!
This app actually works! And it works really well at that! Picks up TV colors quickly and makes immediate adjustments to your selected bulbs. The transitions are quick and seamless. I’ve tried similar apps (Ambient works well, too, but not as well as this) but this one exceeds the competition!
If you own Phillips hue lights then I strongly suggest you buy this app, I say this because first off its a great app and secondly when you buy this app not only are you getting a great app you are also funding improvements to the app and hopefully there will be more updates to an already great app that captures the Lightning of basically anything that you point your camera at, I am excited to see the future of this app for Phillips hue lights
This app deserves you investing a mount that can be used to set your device to watch TV with you everyday. The immersion is real, the colors are accurate and you get the same benefits as you would importing an European TV or wiring a ton of cables and running software from your PC. If you own HUE this is the app to get.
Once I updated my iPhone to 8.3 the app doesnt seem to make the lights function like they used to
